cookieman15061
Didn't yoiu start playing guitar because of Slash TG? No no no Thunder created Slash in his own image. Ain't rock n roll mythology great!
Flight959
Slash is the man! Killer tone!! :- I never get tired of listening to him! Regards
jamman
Agreed 100%.He's alright on my book too. AFD was a great album' date=' it was downhill from there. He's done some good solo stuff - Snakepit and such. Looking to buy the new cd. I tried the USA AFD last week too - seems the neck was indeed pretty slim, which suits my taste. Plays/sounds great, nice top on it, and for $2,800 the price ain't bad. Seen the Pearly Gates prices? [b']WTF?[/b] In fact, there has been 1 at my local shop for about 5-6 monthes now. I've given that shop alot of my money. good discounts, so i have no complaints there. The GM offered me the "Pearly Gates vos" for $7200 out the door. That's a good price. but that's alot of money for a old looking guitar. I like my guitars to look new , when they are new.for that kind of money. For me i thought it was better to get the 50th.Anniver.'59 Darkburst and now the 50th.Anniver.'60version3. I done for a while. They both a great sounding and playing guitars. FirstMeasure
Cmon thats not a hard solo to nail. Its a goodun but not by any means a toughie. Yes, but he took the time to do it right. That put him up there with Joe Walsh as far a Professionalism and Cool Guy-ness. They could have jammed Knockin' on Heavens Door, but he chose to deliver the goods. NeoConMan
I like my guitars to look new' date=' when they [i']are[/i] new.... for that kind of money. Amen Brother jamman! I like my guitars to look new - even when they aren't new, for any kind of money.
nikko18
I know this thread is supposed to be a joke but Slash is actually one of my all time favorite guitarists. He inspired me to play guitar even! Obviously he is not the best player ever or a virtuoso but he is ****ing cooler then **** in my book. He's the cat in the hat! And even though it's way past the glory days of GnR he is still doing what he does best, rock n ****in roll!!

NeoConMan
Can't say how limited they are. The one I played is not a Custom Shop piece, no COA or anything. Regular serial number. Have to study up on 'em I guess, see how many different runs they plan.
guitarmandp
Neo where do they have the Appetite Les Paul? They were trying hard to sell me a custom shop one at GC in Scottsdale the other day. I have my eye on a Melvin Franks LP though.
cookieman15061
My local GC has one and it is beautiful and plays well enough but I don't need another guitar with a slash drawing on the headstock.
cwness
I couldn't get into Slash while he was with GNR Axel put such a bad taste in my mouth that even though they had some good tunes he ruined it. Slither made me stand up and notice Slash. Great riff and wah on the lead. I listen to him now. CW
Silenced Fred
I have not had a chance to try one out yet (the new Slash AFD) but they look cool for sure. I like Slash, never really got into him a whole lot, but his new CD is really good. And how can you say no to the top hat?
Jeff-7
Slash is pretty great, but Axel's singing always gave me a headache. VR was cool while it lasted, combining Weiland and Slash was a nice concept.
