cjtowner Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 What do you think of my kit. http://www.townerusa.com/ I have invented a kit that alleviates the guitar owner from drilling holes in the body of the guitar when installing a Bigsby vibrato. The top part of this kit can fit any Gibson guitar because the bolt holes are the same in all of their electric guitars. This kit is mounted in place of of the stop tailpiece with the existing bolt holes. Rested over the strings, and applying the necessary down tension needed per the height adjustment of the bolts. This kit can be adjusted to whatever height you want and or need to accommodate the action of your strings & bridge height. It can be canted, per the adjustment of the bolts, so there is an even amount of tension over the strings. Other important information to know about this kit. I used a Bigsby B3 with a Tune-O-Matic Schaller Roller Bridge on a Gibson ES-335. It can accommodate Gibson, Epiphone or Ibanez Guitars: Les Paul models Archtop models SG models http://www.townerusa.com/ Towner USA Bigsby B3 Vibrato Retrofit Kit Gibson ES 335 Les Paul SG Archtop Ibanez Epiphone Guitar Guitars

cjtowner Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 thats cool how much does it cost and does it come with the bigsby tailpeice???? I should have my first batch within a month. The cost of the kit is still in decision... Potentially it could be between 30-40 bucks. The Bigsby vibrato bar you chose is not included. Email me from my site townerusa.com and I will put you with the others that are interested and email you as soon as they arrive. Kind Regards, Christian J Towner

St James Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Though NOTHING BEATS A FACTORY INSTALLED ONE LIKE ON MY 20009 LES PAUL FLORENTINE BELOW This babay camne LOADED with all the goodies from top of the line capacitors to self lockiiing vintage sperzel tuners, a wilkinson roller bridge, ebony neck bone nut everythig was top of the line and without a doubt on of the best gibson i have ever bough and the last one isaid that about was my real 79 ES-335 CSR PROTOTYPE the CSR stood for COUNTRY ROCK STEREO it was loaded with DIRTY FINGERS and had a switch that seemed to drain half the power off those HIGH oUTPUT DIRTY FINGERS Either way though I prefer OLDER PAULS when I played this it sounded, played like and felt like an older LESPAUL so I grabbed it and am glad I did !!! Only 200 of the 300 were made as LES was involved in the looks and decisionsof the making of this guitar so when LESpPASSED (rip) they stopped production at where they were...thisis what I was told my a gy who works in NASHVILLE.... I have afeeling that that story may be BS as A friend has one witha number of 312 written on the back, Who knows maybe 350 were to stay here and the JAPANESEones were cut short who knows it is gorgeous and come s with a great COA AND A LETTER EXPLAING IT WAS ONE OF les'S last PROJECTS thanks les st james
