rcscruff
The pickup rings look like epiphone. Wider screw spacing with gold screws. Hopefully this guy isn't testing us on how to make the perfect forgery.

CaptainNemo68
The volume control for the neck pickup is not where it should be. It is out of position by about 3/8 of an inch and should not be in a straight line with the stop bar.

BigKahune
The studios don't have an ebony fretboard anymore since last year. They all come with rosewood now. ... The Alpine White Studio is currently spec'ed with a Ebony fretboard on the Gibson website. Only the Alpine White Studio has Ebony' date=' while the other Studio finishes have Rosewood. As far as the current factory product, I haven't seen a recently made Alpine White in a while, so [i']maybe[/i] they haven't changed their website with updated specs. But it's been Alpine White & Ebony for quite some time - it would be odd to change that. http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio/Specs.aspx
