Widox_
Hello, I'm looking for a Jimmy Page tone and I thought about changing my Les Paul pickups, but I don't know would be better. I thought about using a BB #2 in the neck and a '57 Classic Plus in the bridge instead of the classic BB #1 & #2 or '57 Classic & '57 Classic Pro. Is it a good idea or i'm just raving? Widox_
Could someone just reply saying if it's a good idea or not and why? I will buy the pickups tomorrow and I don't want to make the wrong choice.
Guest BentonC
Current Page guitars will get a version of the Burstbucker pickups. The Burstbucker 1, 2, and 3 are the closest we've come to recreating the original PAFs that Jimmy used in his original vintage LPs (we feel they are the closest any company has come to recreating the classic PAF!). Currently, you can't get any closer to what Page has in his classic LPs than the Burstbucker 1, 2, and 3 pickups.
Widox_
Thank you very much BentonC. Then Burstbuckers will be! If anyone is interested, to rewire to 4 conductors this guide will be useful: http://www.diyguitarmods.com/diyprojects/2leadto5leadhumbuckermod/index2.php
