New info on trashy fake Gibsons

When I say Trashy Fake Gibsons I am not referring to the standard fare of Epiphones with fake Gibson logos and orange labels inside. Nossir, I'm taking about the ones that show up and we collectively say "What the _____ is THAT thing?!?!?"

 

We've all seen them. They vary a lot but all seem to have squared off Martinesque headstocks, no truss rods, sometime trapeze tailpieces, etc.

 

I found one on Goodwill, the first one I've ever seen with a label inside. It's from the Phillipines. Suppose that's where all those trashy ones were built?
