My friend will be visit soon in a Los Angeles, he is planning to buy LP Standard during his visit.

Probably he prefers to buy used instrument. Can you folks recommend any stores in L.A for that?

What I have heard about Guitar center on this forum, it may not be the #1?[biggrin]

I sent him a link for LA craigslists...any help will be appreciated.

I know you guys might jump me for this but if you're a guitar player and you're in LA you gotta visit the Guitar Center and the Vintage Room in Hollywood. You don't have to deal with the noise upstairs but this is a must stop. [biggrin]

I've had nothing but great luck with the GC in Hollywood and Pasadena.

Let me know when your pal arrives in L.A. and if I'm in town I'll take him to the Whiskey to watch a couple of bands.

Caliman made some great recommendations. Especially True Tone. That's a nice store with a nice selection of Gibsons. The Hollywood GC is truly exceptional. They also lock the guitars onto their hangers in the Platinum Room so you know a bunch of 13 year old kids weren't in there bangin around the top knotch stuff. The Vintage Room is awesome and the service is typically very good in my experience.

Hollywood is full of music stores. Some great some not so great.

The Whisky is a sweet venue. My band is hoping to open there for our first show. There are a lot of great venues there.
