Experience with LR Baggs LB6 pickups?

I am thinking of installing a pickup in my Gibby Acoustic. A lot of pros use the LB6 and there must be a reason for that. Sure there are a lot of more expensive pickups out there, but usually the pros go with what works well.

 

So do any of you have experience with the LB6? Does it do "as advertised" (not add or take away anything from the sound of the instrument)? How easy was it to install and work with (sanding down etc). Do you NEEd anything else or can you simply plug and play?

My '03 J-45 RW has the Fishman. I like it real well.

 

I think they come with the Baggs now.
