It was a black Gibson Explorer, but thinner than any I've seen, with pearl block inlays and a pearl pickguard. It was $1,200 and I was poor, so alas someone else bought it before me. I didn't realize at the time what a gem I let go by. I've recently been trying to find one of the Explorer models (seen here: www.guitar.com.au/guitars/electric/gibson/xpro.html) but to no avail. So finally I'm coming to Gibson personally. They stopped production of these after 2 years so I can only imagine how few of these there are. Do you guys know if I can special order this directly from Gibson, have another one made? I greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction on this one. If I were you, I would post a request on the Seymour Duncan Forum as one of the members on there is a dealer.
