So, I wondered, at the time, how much that was a factor, in the tone. But, when I got it home, plugged it into my HR Deluxe, it was equally Awesome...just in a "Fender" way, as opposed to the British "Orange" amp way. Shorts (AKA Wichita Band & Instrument Co.) Wichita, Kansas. "Jamdogg's" was on it's way to him, so I didn't see it, but there was 1 more, that came in, that I looked at, as well. It was nearly identical, to mine, but the back was a bit darker. I went "back & forth," trying to make up my mind, and finally decided on the lighter backed version. Still not sure that was "better," or not...but, I'm good with my decision. The other one, had a bit more "relic'd" look, around the horn (bottom) edge, and where one's arm would rest. I just preferred the less obvious one, in that regard. But it wasn't "bad," just different, and somewhat more obvious/pronounced. They told me they wished that had ordered 40 more, just like 'em. LOL Every one they got in, regardless of color, is already sold. They've even asked Gibson, to sell them any "cancellations," or returns (as long as they're fine, and not "defective," in any way).
