I seen a honeyburst at local gc yesterday. I bought the cherry sb last week and in my opinion looking a the honeyburst i was not impressed with that color the cherry is more lively. Thought i would share that for anyone debating on a color b4 they buy.

I bought a C. B. a couple months ago and your kinda right. It's NOT to red at all just right.

I Bought a Honey the other day I got it, and I wasn't as happy as I thought I would be in the color.

Now the Honey shows WAY less wearing than the Cherry.

But playability of the Honey is Way up there with just about ANY guitar I have ever played, even with absolutely NO set up from me needed or wanted...

This covers are NOT scratched on the back what so ever compared to the Cherry....

But I am glad I bought the Honey...

Give me a couple of days and I will put pictures of them side by side......

cherry sunburst,

I have had a difficult time putting this guitar down. It plays so nice. P-90's for life. They give you that classic rock and roll edge. Not sure if it is going to top the sweetness my strat puts out.

"In honor of the decade that gave birth to rock and roll Gibson USA is proud to present the acclaimed Les Paul Studio in a unique new package. The new Les Paul Studio ’50s Tribute model embodies the look and tone of the great original Les Pauls from the 1950s, at a price that fits the wallets of today’s hardworking musicians. Ever since its introduction in 1983, the Les Paul Studio model has been enormously popular with players seeking the power and versatility of the original Les Paul Standard in a ready-for-action package, with a price to match. The Les Paul Studio ‘50s Tribute sticks to the script entirely, but its five worn ’50s-style finishes and meaty dual single-coil P-90 pickups give it a look akin to classics from the decade of the Les Paul’s birth, so much so that you’ll be doing a double-take to check it’s not an original 55-year-old Lester!"

Good memory. Yes - keep your fingers crossed.

Given the turn of events, I'm not optimistic. Amazon probably has less clout with Gibson than AMS (and GC, Sam Ash - who seem to have gotten preference).

Hey BF,I read this on MLPF today

"So I'd almost completely given up hope... ordered 1 from Music123 and then canceled when the "delivery date" was 2011.

And tonight I get a notice from Amazon that they're gonna ship the GT by the 15th!"

Yep - that's right. I'm supposed to get my Amazon order by the end of the week. Tracking number pending. Details to follow...

What the frak AMS?

Posted on Harmony Central Electric Guitar Forum today:

Gold Tops available for pre-order again at AMS with an 11/23 delivery date...don't hold your breath.

I don't mean to piss anyone off' date=' but I jumped on that this morning thinking it probably won't pan out, and wouldn't you know it I just checked with CS at AMS and they claim it shipped already. It wasn't even supposed to be in stock for weeks!?!?![/quote']
