Dom_JEM Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 not seen vai or moore yet? if they in town ill pay them a visit
L5Larry Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 A few years ago I started a "Life List" of bands and musicians I've seen. The list looks pretty impressive from the 70's and 80's with great rock & roll bands in their heyday. But since I crossed over to the dark side (jazz), I've seen a bunch of great, and historically important jazz artists, but the names are meaningless to most people. As for the old R&R guys, I'm not really in to most "reunion" tours, and so many of the bands have so few, if any, original members, they have become a tribute band to themselves. Having seen my favorite of these bands during their original strardom, I prefer to remember them that way. And then there's the $100 ticket prices, I don't think so...

Big Bill Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Not likely since Brad Delp...well' date=' you know?[sad'] When I seen them Sammy Hagar opened for them. Sammy had recently left Montrose, the man rocked the house.
SHO Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I've seen most of my "Oh my God if I could only have been there!" bands except for the obviously impossible ones. Been lucky with a few reunions and such in the last couple of years. I'd say the ones I have left are Return to Forever (couldn't fly abroad to any of the reunions shows, sadly) and the original line-up of the most awesome band ever - Venom. Though I know people who did see them in the late 90s or whenever it was they got back together, and apparetly I'm not missing much as they've pretty much learned how to play nowadays. But still, I want to see them. Who cares about Black Sabbath, this is when REAL metal started!
Witmer Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I thought you were talking about angry bands! Me too...

Rocky4 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I'll be crossing Buddy Guy off my list tomorrow, unless I get held over at work for the fourth Friday in a row.
