I can't find a left hand guitar for the SG i want and if i switch the strings it will look very weird because the knobs will be at the top. so i wanted to know would it be harder if i learned guitar on a right hand guitar because i don't want to spend $665 dollars on a right handed guitar and then give up because i cant play with it.

Thank you[biggrin]

I have a good friend who is left-handed and learned to play left-handed "without" switching the strings around. He is one of the finest guitarists I have ever known.

Doyle Bramhall II perhaps? [lol]

Hi

My '63 SG Standard is for sale. See it in the avatar there? I bought it from Beeb Birtles of the Little River Band in the early 80s. Like I say, it's for sale now, so if you want to feel a real lefty from the era of the Gods, contact me for info. I'm NOT a dealer.

My Epihone SG G400 is left handed. It definitely is hard to find them depending on where you live. My town has a pawn shop, and that's the closest thing to a guitar shop around here. I ordered my guitar off of either guitar center or musiciansfriend, can't remember. I've tried flipping my squier strat, and i just didn't like the feel of it. Don't give up on the search, left handed models are out there.

Just get a right handed guitar. Im a Lefty but I play a normal righty SG... Kinda gives you an advantage over rightys as you have better co-ordination if your fretting hand (kinda harder to do tremelo and stuff though, but you always need to fret strings, but tremelo is jsut an option)
