Billykelly
I am the very proud new owner of what I believe to be a Gibson L-30 from late thirties early 40s? It's in beautiful shape and has an outstanding tone... The ser# has me puzzled though... it is 2291G-10 (The -10 added and is handwritten in red pencil) The number is stamped in ink and is visible through the f hole. I have searched everywhere but to no avail. Anybody have any idea at all? I would attach a pic, but don't see a way to do it here. Tha
L5Larry
"G" is the letter code for 1941. Your guitar was the 10th instrument in batch number 2291 of 1941.
