woodsdad
I have a GIBSON GSS100 amp and need to know when it was manufactured. It has a guitar and bass channel. Everything works in both channels. I do not have the footswitch, however the reverb is always on when you turn up the reverb controll knob. This amp also has tremelo and vibrato on the guitar channel. All of the knobs are intact in pristine condition. I am forced to sell off part of my gear collection due to the Flood in Nashville eliminating almost all of the venues where we work (stagehands). THIS AMP WAS NEVER IN THE FLOOD IT HAS BEEN IN MY STUDIO WHICH WAS UNTOUCHED BY THE WATER AND DEVASTATION. Any info on this baby, which seems to have plenty of power, will be appreciated. L5Larry
I remember those amps, a guy I played in a band with in the early/mid 70's bought one. I remember going to the music store and looking at it with him. My best guess is that it was in the '73-'75 era.
Guest BentonC
These amps were in production from 1966-67. We don't have much information remaining on these other than your description and the years of production.
Grog
I have some info Walter Fuller sent to the origional owner of my GSS50 amp. The info sent was for a GSS100. I have it scanned, send me a PM with your email & I'll send it off to you. Walter Fuller was the inventer of the P-90 pickup & many early pickups. He must have been in customer service in his later years.
