Kak - Kak-Ola (1969)

Wow!

 

Gary Lee Yoder, one of the replacements for Blue Cheer's first lead guitarist Leigh Stephens, released an album in 1969, with a band called Kak, of which he was a founding member.

 

Kak had only one album, which I just found some cuts from on YouTube. I'm pretty impressed by what I've found. What we have here is some very solid, compelling underground rock music. Pretty awesome stuff. It ranges from the mellowest of acoustic folk-rock to a surprisingly heavy psychedelic sound, and everything in-between and with each of the facets being equally interesting. I think you are thinking something different XDemonknight ... nothing to do with s*x ... kak = sh*t.

And a band with that name turns me off ... but since you asked me to ... I'll give it a try ... [crying]
