Dnyels
Hi, I inherited a 1930s(?) Gibson tenor banjo from my grandfather and I am trying to learn more about it. From descriptions I have found, it seems almost identical to the Gibson Florentine (same crest design on the back and rhinestone peghead) only it has a patterned ebony and mother of pearl fretboard instead of the Florentine's painted images. I have photos that I can send if anyone thinks they could help me identify the model and year. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Danielle
BobB
Hello Danielle.........you can email JPG format pictures to service@gibson.com and we would glad to help you identify the instrument. We would need a full from view, a full back view, a close-up of the front and back sides of the peghead. Be sure that the total file size of any attachments you send is less than 2MB per email.
