My first SG

Hey guys, after years of using guitars that seem to depreciate like crazy, I decided to buy a gibson, an SG, after months of having my heart set on a natural burst SG standard, I started to accept I was going to have to get an ebony or cherry guitar, then last week, on my birthday this bad boy came up. Happy birthday to me!

Just dropping it off for a set up in a few minutes, the action is just a little high at the moment, but even with the action so high, neck just feels so right for my hand, like a glove,

Cheers,

Matt

I'm not usually a fan of the natural bursts' date=' but yours looks a lot like the natural finish some late '60s SGs came in.[/quote']

Yeah there's not much of a burst going on hey, I love the finish, it's you could lick it and it would taste like honey, or maybe whiskey

Welcome and happy B'day.

Congrats yer beautiful new SG!

Four things got me going - the body joint is matched very nicely, the graining is beautiful, the finish color is gorgeous, and the fretboard is dark. Love the whole look.

Your #1 SG is very, very nice. [cool]
