ibis
ATXFaron: No worries mate, its good to disagree sometimes! I understand that for you, and the others here, the robot is quite an advance on the guitar as we know it. Its something you're willing to pay for. It's just that I'm not. It would probably detract from my enjoyment of the guitar, trying to remember how to work it! Or worrying that it will go wrong. I hate my DVD recorder. I'm that sort of guy! I love my R7 because the tone it supplies comes from the shear quality of the wood. It's organic and simple. Something I can't really explain. Dave: Thanks for flagging up the specs of the robot. I wasn't aware of all of them. I just miss the neck and body binding to tell the truth. Plus the colour isn't my cup of tea. I know its not cheap, far from it. Its just that I have different priorities when it comes to spending out on guitars. I'm glad you're getting a real buzz from using your robot. Rock on! Cuda (or anyone else): Here's a question: Why doesn't the Robot use the Buzz Feiten tuning system? Does it use normal, equal temperament tuning or does it do something fancy to sound even 'more in tune' than a regularly made guitar?
daveinspain
Actually the neck is bound too... The only thing that isn't bound is the body and I wish it was... I already have a ding on the edge. It's tiny but man did that hurt!

ibis
I'm over it already.... but it was a major tragedy. I was a bear for two weeks!! Like I was when my wife dropped the case lid onto my new Taylor acoustic, the latch gougeing a nice dent in the top. Sh!t happens. Still, compared to the crap that life can fling at you at times, its a non event!

phil47uk
I'd hate to see the repair bill on one of these. Well there you have it in a nutshell. Sooner or later, ( Sooner these days ) these gadgets go arse upwards, like all modern stuff.. Washing machines..Dishwashers etc etc. It's all a bit too gimicky for me personally. I have manually tuned my guitars for the past 45 years, so I don't suppose it will hurt me to continue. Nice gimick ( If it doesn't go wrong ).
