WahKeen
I have a Les Paul Studio Vintage Faded Mahogany with the BB Pros, and I noticed that high on the neck it's begun to have scrapes. You know, the wood is out there since it has no layers of paint. The scrapes are digging an indention and I believe it's from making contact with my wedding ring (funny thing, when I was seeing if that was it, my ring wasn't touching the neck, so I am a bit baffled). If you're holding the guitar in playing position, the scrapes are on the bottom by the cut away. Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody had experienced this and if you put anything on it I have to just take off my ring. I could post some pics and I will if I need to. Any feedback will be appreciated.

G McBride
Do you have a watch that is cutting into it?
silverburst83
I always remove all rings, and my belt or at least un-tuck my shirt to cover the buckle when playing. Seen lots of guitars with the wedding ring rash on the neck.
swleary
Divorce and problem solved lol...kidding... I would take my off or put it on the right hand..... Probably the best would be to take it off or put it on a necklace...word of warning though, don't lose it...
Riffster
Yea, I have an LPVM and same thing... although the spot with more wear on mine is where I rest my picking hand above the bridge humbucker.
L5Larry
Seems to me the decision you have to make is what do you value more, your guitar, or your marriage.
WahKeen
Lol at the divorce comments etc... Well, I figured out it was the ring. When I was unconsciously playing I looked when I came to, and sho 'nuff that was it!! So, I cut the ring where it rubs against the neck... lol. Hahah... Thanks for the comments!
