Notes_Norton
I've compiled this from a thread in the old forum. Since the Epiphone Casino and Gibson ES-330 are as alike as the Gibson and Epi LPs, for this purpose they could be considered the same guitar. And what purpose is that? To give an idea of what our Casino guitars can sound like in the hands (and amps) of different artists. Here is what I've come up with (in alphabetical order of first name - because it was easy that way). Aimee Mann ('Til Tuesday, etc.) B.B. King Bernard Sumner (New Order) Brian Jones (Rolling Stones) Carl Wilson (Beach Boys) Chuck Berry Daniel Kessler (Interpol) Dwight Yoakam The Edge (U2) Elliot Smith George Harrison (Beatles) Hilton Valentine (Animals) Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) Joan Osbourne John Lennon (Beatles) Johnny Marr (Smiths, etc.) Keith Richards (Rolling Stones) Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth) Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) Matthew Sweet Michael Bolton Noel Gallagher (Oasis) Paul McCartney (Beatles) Paul Weller (The Jam, etc.) Tom Petty Tony Hicks (Hollies) Does anyone have anybody to add to the list? Bob "Notes" who wishes he was famous enough to be on the list Norton
JayGLongBeach
Lifehouse- the lead singer/guitarist strictly plays hollow bodies and in concert he's got a nice array of Casino's and 330's
Ron G
Can't think of anyone else but as I write this, I'm listening to McCartney's "Chaos And Creation In The Backyard" - chock full of wonderful Casino licks. Check it out.
pohatu771
Chuck Berry played an ES-330 at some point. When he was a guest on The Michael Douglas Show, which was being hosted by John and Yoko, he was using it for his performances. John was using his Les Paul Junior, in its original sunburst finish.
