Stray Dog Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 They are not very warm pickups. Definatele very good, but they lack the mids usually associated with p90s. Have more of a scooped sound. The neck pickup gives a sorta crystal-clear, sparkly, scooped, twangy sound. Very nice but I dunno if it would work for jazz. I had them in my sheraton, and eventually replaced them with GFS Mean 90s, which sounded essentially the same but with the mids turned up. These would be more suited for jazz.
