luvastogie
While I'm still hoping to get a VJ half stack for my b-day later this year, my Pignose 7-100 came in the other day. That is a fun little amp.
TWANG
I haven't played a pignose since they came out, nearly. A friend had one. I always meant to try some of their different models, but I just never ran into them. Is that a tube amp?
luvastogie
Not the 7-100 that I have, but I believe all the larger ones are. It's just a 3 watt portable that runs on 6 AA batteries. Light, small, and surprisingly loud with good sound.
strangedogs
I had one for years - small "suitcase" amp that had a raw kinda sound - great lil' classic rock sound too... Had 2 different sounds if played closed or open. I read one time where Frank Zappa actually recorded with it mic'ed up on a few albums. I gave it to a neighbor kid along with an old Washburn electric as he wanted to be a "guitar player" Also had a Dano "Honeytone" - mint green - another cool lil' 9-volt amp I used to bring to the jobsites (construction) to entertain the boys at lunchtime - had a beltclip so you could hang it on your strap or belt. Bluesbrekr1281734000
The 7-100 is a great little amp. I have one from about 1985. Clapton used one for recording also. I don't recall the album, but it was quite a while ago.

freednighthawk
I love the pignose sound, but I still cant get over the versatility of the Vox portable (cant remember the model)
luvastogie
I love the pignose sound' date=' but I still cant get over the versatility of the Vox portable (cant remember the model) [/quote'] That's the DA-5. I've got one of those too. Won it in a raffle at a Marshall/Vox demonstration last year. Pretty impressive in it's own right. AC or 6 C-cell batteries, switchable between 5, 1.5, and 0.5 watts. cGil
Okay, that's it. Pigs at high noon it is. Please allow me to present to you, my "wall of sound". And now for the gutless porn stuff. Oh and by the way... Fair Warning. This speaker SUCKS! It has major cone cry when pushed by a VJr on 10. But hey, it's a great bench load and small enough to be out of the way. Gil...
