gasandmatches Posted March 11, 2008 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Hi, I have a Sheraton which appears to be an early model from the Samick Factory around 1986-1989. It has the "Epiphone by Gibson" logo on the headstock. Does anyone have any idea how much I could expect to get for this guitar if say I listed it on ebay? the only pictures i have right now is from a live show. The finish looks rad. Mostly, though, I think used guitars are worth about 1/2 original sale price, plus and special things (upgraded neck on a Fender, fer instance, or rare color, etc.). I don't consider changing pickups, wiring and hardware upgrades, but rather as items of a previous owner's personal taste. Since it has to have all that stuff anyway, why should I pay extra for something that the seller is obviously not pleased with or he wouldn't be selling, now would he? Besides, I'm probably going to yank it all out and replace it all with hardware that matches MY personal taste anyway. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

People aren't crazy about the "Epiphone By Gibson" logo. Most prefer the simple "Epiphone" logo. The Samick-made Sheratons are pretty good guitars but there's no premium there as a vintage guitar or anything like that. ...and Al's your uncle.
