essessemm
Hey everyone. I'm new here, but have been reading the forum for awhile. I'm wondering what might be a decent set of replacement pick-ups for my G-400? I'm looking for a well-rounded set for rock/pop that can produce some nice crunchy tones. I was thinking about the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded set ($130). I don't want to really spend any more than that. Any thoughts or other suggestions? RotcanX
GREAT choice, GREAT price. That's exactly the set I have in my '78 SG (except I had to buy them one at a time) and it's very versatile. I added a coil tap switch and a phase switch for even more possibilities; you can get some very Strat-like tones especially out of phase... JB/Jazz: possibly one of the best aftermarket pickup setups ever.
essessemm
Nice. Thanks for the reply. I can't wait to switch 'em out - I just don't want to make the wrong choice. Anything else that's comparable in the same price range?
