Difference between elite & elitist

The Elitist series used to be called Epiphone elite guitars. They changed the name to Epiphone Elitist. There is no difference except for the name/time they were made. Correct me if I'm wrong somebody?

Yep, same thing. They were originally called Elites, but I think another company was using the name so Epi agreed to change it.

I think in life, an elite would be in the present, and an elitist might be in the past, perhaps a "has been" elite, or a dead "elite".

These are important issues in life.

Right now I'm wondering about guitars.[/quote']

Hmmm, that's actually not correct. But since this is a guitar site I won't go into that.

I knew what you meant the first time, I was just kidding around when I wrote that.
