Hi from France, I want to change my sheraton pickup. I play at 80% jazz, 20% Blues. I'm not sure about the pickup i must take : gibson classic 57 or burstbucker or other brand. Could you help me ?

Excuse for my bad english, Thanks for you answers.

As I mentioned in my previous post. Gibson Classic 57s on a Sheraton II sound pretty

sweet whether you are playing jazz or blues. If you have the money go for them,

if not, I have found that GFS Vintage 59s sound "close" on archtops.

Others may have other ideas, form your own opinion, because pickups are very

subjective...like women choosing their perfumes.

Classic '57s or Burstbuckers would definitely be the way to go. I'd go with a BBI in the neck and a BBII in the bridge... or else a pair of regular Classic '57s (avoid the Plus). Another option would be a pair of Seymour Duncan '59s or Dimarzio PAFs. Et bonne journée, mon vieux...
