I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. No longer will I greet threads that ask unanswerable questions with anger and sarcasm. No! I'll simply post poetry all over every single one of them -- in the hope of enlightening the authors' date=' of course. It is my most sincere wish to channel that aimless energy into a truly satisfying pastime which will also aid on the road to nirvana.

(P.S. I lied about the sarcasm)

Edit:

...and since this one is already ripe, here is

I'll see if my doctor will increase my dosage, but its already got spots on it.

...and just because I don't want you to think I'm slacking - here's a nice one by Rudyard Kipling

IF.....

IF you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,

Or being hated, don't give way to hating,

And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,

if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,

And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Yep, different guitars, different sounds. I think the Strat has a faster neck and the Paul has a neck that lends itself to more soulful bends and womany sounds. I have always loved the 2 and 5 pup positions and the action of the Strat, although my Paul is my go to guitar. I find myself going back to the Paul, even though I played the Strat for a decade and a half.

The Paul is boxier and the Strat is comfort cut on the back and front for a better fit to the body. The Strat also has better access to the upper frets, which is a problem on the Paul past the 15th fret.

Yeah, and I find myself going back and forth (even at the same gig), OR...using one or the other,

for an extended period of time, until it just feels like there needs to be a change, tonally. But,

I could never think about "preferring" one, to the other. Heck, I like 335's (style), Ric's and others,

too. So..??? Whatever Works!
