evol04gt
so i really hate to say it, but im looking into maybe selling some crap and getting a gold top and second tele(thinline-the hollow one with single coils) and or prefferably having a jaguar built... seems the epi les pauls are going for 500.... well..rondo music has a gold top for 230 and a tele with a sick veneer and good sadle for 180.... now heres the thing--- i have read great things about the al2000 thats the better les paul they use...fret dressings and maybe better pick ups and they are good... and the tele just looks great... new neck and pick ups and it would be BALLER status. also considering selling my marshall jcm900 stack..... for a fender cyber twin and other goodies... thoughts? hoobiepatrol
I recall one of our members, Sheik, having a bad experience with a Rondo guitar. I can't remember what the model number was, but it was a LP style and definately not the bottom of the line. Truss rod issues if I remember correctly. Hopefully he can jump in to share his opinions of it with you, it stuck out in my mind because I had been looking at those Rondos for a while and his story gave me second thoughts. 60s style Jags are mad awesome, I'd love to own one someday. Those Cyber Twins seemed to be pretty hot, are you not too fond of yours or are you just desperate to scrounge up the cash?
evol04gt
the rumor is the jcm900s are starting to be the next desired amp from yesteryear..... i have always wanted a twin reverb, BUT if i start playing out again, i want something i dont have to worry about being older and delecate... i havent used the marshall in so many years, i forget how it sounds honestly..... i am looking at having one or 2 guitars built this year and or modifying some i have and re doing my music room and have already bought my sg, a mixer and some other stuff, so im not looking to drop big money on anything for a long time... that and we are expecting child number 2 in 7 more months, so we are going to need to set aside some money for surprizes and all of the co pays and what not and also set a side a little bit for maternity leave. i kinda wanna get some new gear over the next year.. its not that i need it, but i really have always wanted a jag and a jazz master... and a thin line tele... and a tele deluxe.,, i dont have anything with soap bars and everyone is telling me that they are great but i dont feel like spending 400 for An eastwood.... if the rondo plays really well, i can sell some more old car sh2t on ebay to pick one up... Lerxst1281733995
Actually, there was nothing wrong with the first 2 guitars he sent back.. He just made the common mistake of not realizing that it's wired in serial... Thought there was something wrong with them when both pickups went out when one of the volume knobs was turned down... I have an Agile 3100 and it's a great guitar... I highly recommend them.. Now I'm gonna go time how long it takes this thread to disappear.. Hiram
I've had a AL3100 for 1.5 yrs. now and can find no fault with it. I play it a lot in the guitar rotation. OK, now we know it's gone.
weeladdie
Awright, let me just put the final nail in the coffin...... I've had an AL3100M for about six months and it compares favorably with both my Gibby LP Standard, and Epi Elitist LP. Maybe I'm just not picky enough????
