bodger74
Hi, Just trying to find out a bit more about this bass that I bought a few years back. Sounds great, plays great but is a wee bit neck heavy. Any help, much appreciated. Ian ps. sorry, I have more pictures but not sure if I can upload to the site. Could always email them I guess.
RobinTheHood
I am going to be absolutely no help to this thread, but I just wanted to say...those horns are WILD! Very cool. What is the name on the headstock?
bodger74
Unfortunately it doesn't have a name. Just a serial number 108070. Thanks I feel like I should be playing in Jethro Tull or something if I play this bass.
RobinTheHood
Hmmm...from the pic in you avatar, it looks like it says something on the headstock. The closest I've seen to a bass (or guitar) with horns like that are Bisons. But I dont think that is it. Maybe google around for vintage or odd guitars. I wish I could be more help. RobinTheHood
I think you have an Epiphone Scroll Bass. I found a guitar similar to it on ebay...and then google searches "Epiphone Scroll Bass" and came up with similar versions. Here's the link to the guitar: Epi Scroll Guitar
Epi1
Unfortunately it doesn't have a name. Just a serial number 108070. Thanks I feel like I should be playing in Jethro Tull or something if I play this bass. Congratulations! It's an Epiphone Scroll bass. Made in the 1970's along with the Epiphone Scroll guitars. Very rare. You can google it and find info about them. Thanks, Epiphone

Rockin_Dude
Gee Robin , i thought that`s what you typed out, then again ,maybe not Ya ,it is and it is a special bass for sure ... Now as far as the for what it`s worth department .....
RobinTheHood
Well, the scroll guitar bidding is starting out at $419 - 5 hours to go and no bids...so I'm guessing that they are worth about as much as any other used guitar in a low to moderate price range in good condition. Although, the bass may be a different story. In my google searches, I only found guitars. No basses. But, something is only worth as much as someone is williing to pay for it.
