Red 333
I have a master built 500r and was wondering how different the pine and mahogany are for sound The DR500P is maPle, not pine. In a guitar of the same design, maple is generally used to emphasize the upper frequencies more, while rosewood is used to emphasize the bottom. Mahogany is somewhere in between. Red 333 [/quote'] Yes, Maple is brighter, Mahogany is described as warmer and Rosewood is darker and a bit dryer sounding. Find a dealer like GC and most likely they will have all 3 tone woods in stock. Play them all and decide what you like, or if you have one tone wood acoustic already try something different than what you have already.
