jman99 Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 I picked up a new V2 vj combo for cheap. Trouble is that it sounds good to me, nice and quiet, ok headroom before breakup and decent distortion when turned up. But all the talk of the OT needs changing and other mods make me wonder. Is it wrong to leave it stock or am I missing something (since I think it sounds good as is). What is the deal on the OT, if it makes the tube run too hot is that bad? My main amp is a PV C30 and that thing gets HOT, I doubt the little Epi develops voltages that high.
