pohatu771
Same basic design... I can't say whether or not they're the same materials, though. They're a similar price, however.
iansmitchell
No, they LOOK similar, but the bridge is different, I wouldn't doubt the pickup is, and the headstock and name, as well as the (likely) lower manufacturing quality and (on amazon) higher price... EDIT: Bridge is the same, BUT: According to gibson's site on maestro single cut: Body Species: Poplar/Maple veneer NECK Species: Maple Scale length: 23 and 3/4" On Epiphone LP junior (from musiciansfriend): Body Material: Alder/Maple Neck: Mahogany, bolt on Scale: 24.75" And the epi actually DOES have les pauls' name on it, and the epi name and headstock. RotcanX
24 3/4" actually.
Lerxst1281733995
And the epi actually DOES have les pauls' name on it' date=' and the epi name and headstock.[/quote'] Actually, the bolt-on junior just has "Junior" on the headstock... No LP sig.. 24 3/4" actually. Whew! I almost got confused!

micahstclair
I have been looking at the Maestro double cutaway, basically an updated sg junior, but I don't know, I can't find any reviews on them, and I don't want to buy something that is a toy. If it was comparable to Epiphone i would buy it in a heartbeat.
