iansmitchell
Lace powered by lace humbucker http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Lace-?sku=305420 30 bucks, I was thinking I'd pair it in the neck with a rockfield fat *** in my metal guitar. They're under the GFS pickups in price, even after MF taking a cut, which makes me a bit worried about how they sound. So, has anyone tried one? iansmitchell
I was considering from GFS either: http://store.guitarfetish.com/alfatpafbohu1.html or http://store.guitarfetish.com/crpafhublbrp.html For the neck, if not the lace one.
Ricochet
Lace is a well-respected name in the PU-industry. The PU you're looking at are in the same mould as Duncan-designed or Select by EMG. Asian factory-budget series. Like GFS, they're cheap and mileage may vary.
iansmitchell
Thanks richochet. Do you know WHERE I can find EMG's select pickups, I can't find them anywhere easily... If the price is rght, I might go that way...
Ricochet
Elderly and StewMac carry some Selects. They are very cheap. Reports haven't been favourable tho. You may opt for the EMG HZ series, which is the passive counterpart of their active line but a lot cheaper.
