Nickblues1
Started having an issue with the switch cutting out the pickups. Nothing new right. Well it turned out not to be the switch. The ground connection - braided wire - was almost completely broken. Only a few strands of wire were making contact. I cut back about a third of an inch of the insulation and twisted the strands and tinned it up properly. While I was at it, I also took all the pots and the jack out and cleaned them up. The job took about 2 hours in all. No big deal. The pickups are on a two quick disconnect plugs which I think is a bit different. I have to contact the original owner and see if he had any work done. It sounds so much better now that everything is clean and making contact properly. The string method works extremely well to keep it all straight and put everything back where it belongs. This is the first time I have done this with a semi-hollow body.
RotcanX
Epiphone is wiring up their archtops with connectors now. I believe they implemented this some time after 2004.

Mine is an April 28th 2004 birthday girl. Maybe we have to revise the year of transition. It does make fixing and swapping easier.
