They should NEVER have discontinued the '57 junior.

Or the SG junior.

I'd really like to see a GOOD beginners pack with a '57 junior or a similar SG junior(set neck, mahogany slab body), and a valve junior combo, gib bag, stand, strap and picks.

If it was say, 3-400 bucks I'd but it in a heartbeat.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Joe Pass model...

All of the hollows and semi-hollows...Dot, Casino, Sheraton, Wildkat. It's nice to have reasonably priced models in the archtop line.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing one yet, but they should keep the Firebird. Those guitars have always intrigued me.

Of course I'm biased about the '56 Gold Top...

Also.. from a retailer's point of view, I think it'd be good to have more standard colours on some models. A white G-400. A natural top LP Custom. A white Dot. This is an easy way to make it look like there's more selection and keep things interesting on the store racks. Heck, the EM-1 is only available in black... a good start but sheesh give us some more options on it.

Easier?

Elitist's Casino' date=' Sheraton, (bring back the) Riviera,

LP's, and bring back '61 SG Standard and an Elitist

SG Custom, as well.

More?

I completely agree Spud. In most lines the colors are way too limited. I would even go so far as to order a color i wanted if it didn't mean paying CS prices !

Any Elitist' date=' except the Twisted Sister model.

The white LE Wildkat deLuxe.

Nice, Ricochet!

I think the only thing I would do (and this is just my own preference) is to change

the pickup covers to black...keep the gold screws and pole pieces. though. Hmmmmmm...

I wonder what Cream covers with gold screws and pole pieces would look like, on that?

(Maybe too different?) Can you get "white" covers?" LOL! But, it's really nice, just as it is!

Epiphone should never, ever...EVER discontinue the archtops they make.

In fact, if for any reason Gibson and Epiphone went through hard times, I think that archtop line should be the LAST to go. Sure....get rid of the Gibson knockoffs, get rid of teh masterbuilts, the acoustic guitars, the basses...

But please, keep the archtops going....

In fact, I think that Epiphone should have exclusive domain over those.

Oh, it's true Epiphone is going through a minor boom right now with their cheap, Chinese guitars/....but you know something?

It's not going to last forever.

I agree with the colors even if they do limited C/S runs. I would like that deep maroon red that my Jorma is in on the Casinos or the Dots. My Riviera is that cherry red but I wish it was the deeper red.

Yeah, I'd like to see wine red, cherry red, and faded cherry on every model.

Dump that cherry sunburst crap though, and HOW MANY black guitars can there be?

LOL Ian... those are the two most popular finishes for the Les Paul Standard. Don't think they'll be stopping production in those colours soon.

Cherry sunburst?

I see a million on craigslist, man they're like 2 at 10, 10 at 2 chicks of the guitar world.

ANd they look BUTT UGLY. Like a really bad hotrod paintjob.

I know black sells well, metal crown, punk crown, country crowd, but to be honest it's tiring to see so many in plain black and so few in wine red....
