kevin134
some sorta double cut lp, I know they have had them in the past, but I am not finding them at the moment. I also like the old Epiphone electrics from before they started doing basically Gibson clones, stuff like the Crestwood and such...
RotcanX
Yeah I'll third the motion for a doublecut... but set neck, with the full 1 3/4" thick body, and with the more popular control layout (the last one they did was just weird). Make it available as a Junior (cherry with 1 dogear P-90) and as a Special (TV yellow with two soapbars) please. Â A '61 style Wilshire in cherry with the two P-90s would be pretty cool too. Use the Elitist headstock design on that one.
snookelputz
Â Call me the Devil's Advocate' date=' but I am wondering if the better route (especially for the high end stuff like this) would be to simply have said customer just design their guitar to order with packages offered when choosing specific models.... Â [/quote'] Â Ah! But people come to their senses while waiting for it to be built and CANCEL the order, whereas guitar in hand right now can be returned, but probably gets kept. tulsaslim
guess i'll say it again...a neck-thru SG Â Everdying- Right on, Brother! I have been saying for years that Gibson is missing the boat by not building a neck-through SG. You are absolutely right! That, and an LP Studio with a slim taper neck are two guitars I wholeheartedly believe would be big sellers. I'd like to see an affordable LP with a maple fretboard, too. Â I wish Epi would bring back the Firebird V with neck-through construction & minis.

JefferySmith
An Elitist double cut that is similar to the ones that Gibson just discontinued. Not the flat slab double cuts, but the contoured ones. That would almost compensate for the lack of an Elitist SG.

I believe this is already in the catalogue as the ES 295 goldtop. Played a used one a few weeks back--got sold before I could get back to the shop with my cash. This is, indeed, a full-sized, "fat" hollow body, got the P90s and the Bigsby. Seems to me they are not easy to find in stores, but the online stores--MF, Zz, 123, etc. seem to have them available. Happy hunting, and have fun!
jobo5432
I'd actually like to see an online Gibson/Epiphone service where customers can design their own guitars (color' date=' pickups, mahogany vs. maple top, specialties such as a Bisby or a nanomag) and then get it ordered just the way they want it... In fact...I'd rather see that vs. introduction of additional models. I actually think that right now, they've got too many different models of the same base guitars.[/quote']  It takes thousands of dollars to retool a shop to build a new model. If they were doing one-off custom jobs, the prices would be through the roof.  If there were a Gibson guitar out there I'd like to see come out as an Epiphone, I think it would be the new 339? Conversely (as a Gibson fan, I'd love to see Gibson do a casino).
