JRizZ
I guess they're so rare because... nobody in their right mind would spend $300 on one?! "Hey guys - I scored me a sweet AT&T Epiphone Les Paul!" "So...?" "Um, it's totally rare!" "Yeah... and so is Polio... doesn't mean it's a good idea to have it!"

Dang that made me laugh out loud! One of the first bitter lessons I learned when it comes to the way guitars are valued is; rare doesn't always mean valuable.... It seems like once a month I see someone on eBay trying to sell a 'Rolling Rock" or "Heinekin" LP Jr. for a king's ransom... "RARE!! RARE!! RARE!!!! ONLY $800!! INCLUDES FREE STRAP WITH BUY IT NOW!!!"

iansmitchell
I guess it'd be to put a new pickguard on, get a custom painted guitar with a few stencils, and have the orig. design when you put it back on.
Just Strum
I just realized the pick guard with a neck is probably only 10 to 15 minutes from where I work. I don't think even being that close would make me take a drive to see it.
jfalkens
LoL I won a contest at Epiphone and I got a Special like that. But my cover had a some racing video game piece of paper covered by a plastic cover and screwed on with about 10 screws. I also got the PS2 game. I forgot what. I took off the plastic cover and threw the paper the shape of a les paul. I gave the guitar to an 11-year old kid. What a piece of junk it was. What sucked the most, is I rgister for all epi contests and the week before they gave out a Lennon Casino. And I got this junkie thing. Anyway, it was pretty nice of Epi, but jeepers ONE WEEK OFF! pohatu771
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a similar guitar for sale... it's the same thing - Junior with giant pickguard, but it has a fairly nice-looking design. Of course, they sell it for $350. And the gig bag is an extra $25.
CodeMonk
I wonder how many pieces of wood it's made from? I dunno. How many pieces does a 2 inch thick piece of plywood have?
Billybob Dylan
I would think it would have a lot of fretwear. They could call it the Jizz-o-matic.
