byrds1965
I know this is the Epiphone forum, but I just got back from hanging out with my bandmate today and hit the stores. Naperville Music in Illinois had the Gibson Custom trailer there for the day and that was the reason for the trip. Lots of LPs and some nice sigs. I got to see my Elliot Easton model and was even better than the photos on line. Could not play it as it was a lefty but picked it up and held it. Just beautiful but I don't have $4500.00 to spend. Talked to the Gibson rep and requested more Epiphone custom stuff, including the G400 with Maestro again, Casino with Bigsby and asked to please make the Wildkat in turquoise again. He got out his I-Pod and said he emailed Dr Epiphone and seemed to be listening to the other customers with requests also. I also knew a guy who worked for Gibson in Elgin IL years ago so we talked about him and found out he was still with Gibson. Also checked the store out to see what was new and they have several Limited Edition G400s I have not seen before and they are both EE plant 2007 models. I asked Mike at Naperville Music about them and he told me the SKU looked good to him so he ordered a couple. Man I need to hurry up and get a new job!
