To Modify, or not to modify?

Pretty much all of my guitars are modded. I like to put my little personal touch on them.

Speaking of 'personal touch'...sorry I'm so tardy responding to this poll. I was on an involuntary 24-hour vacation from the forum. That'll teach me to have an opinion...

+1 on the personal touch.

24 hours? What did you do? Make a spelling error? :-s

It depends on the model and the player. I'm going to have to do a slight fret dressing on my new gold top. I had to tap down several frets in the 8-11 range and the 11th is a rocker, even after tapping. In order to get the action where I want it, I have to do the magic marker thing. Then, I'm sure, as with the LP custom flametop, it will be right where I want it.

I changed the HB pickups on the flametop, but I won't change the single coils on the GT. The ABR-1 bridge on the GT is nice and tight and I was able to get intonation right on, so it stays. I will order some Schaller screws and strap posts so that I can change my Straplock strap over quickly. The ones on the GT are way to big to fit the Schaller Straplocks.

Yup I can't leave anything alone! And Epi's were made to be modded.....it's not like youre destroying the value of a vintage guitar......so mod 'em I say!
