Is there any one Epiphone that will cure your GAS?

I don't really get GAS. But if I came across a Gibson Pat Martino I might soon be in deep financial trouble, and the proud owner of a new guitar.

I know it's not an Epiphone, but close enough.

I've got serious GAS but it's got to pass pretty soon.

If I could build an ultimate axe, for me-for a while now, it would be a P-90 Wildkat in Gloss White w/Gold hardware.

You gotta picture this "dream axe/sound", on stage alongside my Gr-----White Falcon.

The Kat has just got that look- and you don't have to second guess Epi's P-90s.

(by the way, The Falcon's got Dynasonics)

So the sound is in place, all I gotta hope fornow is the

Special Edition White Kat.

You're not helping ._.

I'm going to go look at all the Epiphone models I can afford that are not left handed' date=' the ones I can't afford that are, and the ones I can afford that are left handed and pieces of crap to stimulate my GAS ^^[/quote']

Well, that's one thing about the Epiphones....

Even if they're crap stock....there's enough out there to turn any of the models available into awesome guitars. (Hence, the Special II post earlier in the thread...that's pretty much the lowest of the low-end in terms of Epiphones...and even without a replacement neck, dump enough money into it....hahahahah.)

OK, I don't think anything can cure GAS. Cause soon as you see another one you like you want it. As for just ONE guitar, no not possible, I have too much fun with all of them.

However I've been advised by the minister for everything NO MORE or I move into the shed (come to think of it!!:P[-X )

There is only one maybe two more I would like, an AlleyKat and or a Dot.

Cheers

If you already have bought more than one guitar' date=' than you know that no guitar will cure gas. There are guitars that will deplete funds, but no guitar will cure GAS.

Think about it - you married guys, how many times have you said "I promise, this is the last one"?

There is just no cure. You can treat the symptom, but you can't cure the sickness. Face reality, you have a sickness.[/quote']

Well said "Strum"....there is NO cure. You keep searching and searching for that elusive

tone, not just the "pretty face".... finish and headstock. This is what keeps guitar companies

in business..because most of us have 2, 3 or more guitars, and although we may not

play each one on a daily basis, they are still appreciated for their unique tones.

And as we all know..the tone is the thing that gives the guitar artist/hero/ god,

the unique signature sound that we all (to a degree) seek.

Some people (ok, maybe wives/girlfriends,family members that don't have the same indepth knowledge

about different guitars), might see a guitar and think...it's just a musical instrument...

and just like a vacumn cleaner or other household appliance, one should really be

all you need.. That may be the case, if you are just learning or don't plan on playing it that much.

Butm if you are a serious player and appreciate or love the sound of a guitar,

acoustic or electric or whatever, then you know, that every guitar you own is unique just like

you are, and you keep expanding the number of instruments you own just as

much as you expand your musical knowledge and skills.

Ok, lets all parrot the Marine's training chant...

( A monotonous rhythmic call or shout, as of a slogan: the chant of the crowd at the rally).

"This is my guitar(rifle), this is my gun,

This is for playing (fightin') this is for fun,"

A PLEK job in manufacturing, a $50 upgrade to 490/498 pups, and an optional vibrato tailpiece (that stays in tune) would pretty much make me happy. I can live with the stock nut and the finishes that are standard.

Wished I snagged one up 1.5 year ago when they were still around...

An Elitist Broadway in Sunburst with an L-5 tailpiece instead of the Frequensator, and proper gold knobs (like on a Casino) instead of the white octagonal thingys. Mmmmmmmmm --- I'd be all over that!

That's it!!! Who?

What?

Where?

and (do you remember) How much?

& the only thing I'd change is strings!

How cool would that be aside a Falcon!

as Homer would say' date='"OMG,OMG,OMG."

[/quote']

Indeed... It was a 2005 Limited Edition. If I recall correct it had a regular pricetag. That fooled me into thinking it was a regular production model and I would get a chance to pick one up at a later date... =D>

OK, I'll admit....this one guitar would probably cure me of my GAS....

But that's only because after paying 4000 dollars for it, I wouldn't be able to afford any more guitars...

D'oh!

(So no....Epiphone's all about the GAS.....I could probably get 3 or 4 guitars for the price of that one...)

Just bought a Epiphone B.B.King Lucille so no problems with GAS for a while.

It's the best Epiphone i've ever owned and played and even the pu's sound decent.

Funny sticker on the back off the headstock says 100% inspected and set-up in the USA.

Don't know how serious to take this message.

Wouldn't take it too seriously. The Dot that Epi replaced under warranty had a loose

(as in not secured inside the neck) truss rod' date=' a bad neck and/or bridge set. But it

[i']did[/i] have that sticker.

Sorry, but mine without the Frequensator and the white pointy knobs is taken. [-(

Both of their votes were' date=' indeed, valid. But >1/2 of the US population doesn't look like them.[/quote']

It wasn't more than half.

It was less than half, but more than al gore got.

Blame nayder.

As for the 2nd election, everybody, deep down, fears change.

Alot of people will take the devil they do know over the "angel" they don't.
