Pickups, I Think

I am very new to playing guitar, I got my first guitar, an Epiphone AJ-200 EVS, for Christmas this year. I haven't played it enough to really know any songs yet, so I probably don't have the terminology right, but I do have a problem that is fixable, but a very tedious fix. Here's how it goes.

 

I bought a guitar strap, so I can play standing up. Because my guitar is of the acoustic/electric variety, one end of the strap loops over what I believe to be called the pick-up. So, when I play, the pickup always becomes unscrewed or something, and very loose, and I am almost concerned as to what it is doing to the surrounding region of the guitar, you dig?

I think you mean the output jack...which doubles as a strap pin...common problem, you need to tighten it up

and put a drop of something like clear nail polish to prevent it from unscrewing...but to be safe, post photos and

wait for a more knowledgeable answer...what you don't want is the jack to fall off inside the guitar...
