TehLesPaulZorz
Hey, I just have a quick question. Is there any big sound difference between an unplugged acoustic-electric and an acoustic, or do they sound pretty much the same?
L1Picker
Everything else being equal, they should sound the same. That is, if you have an acoustic model, and then fit it with a pickup to make it an acoustic-electric, its unplugged sound should not be any different than it was before you installed a pickup. Other than that, there's no definitive way to say that either is inherently different or similar to any other guitar. Every guitar has its own characteristics whether plugged in or not. Get what I'm saying?

stone1281734000
There are lots of acoustic/electrics that are designed specifically as acoustic/electics that have shallower bodies than regular acoustics. You won't get the same volume or depth of tone that you get with a regular dread or jumbo unless it's plugged in.
