The_Sentry
I don't know how many of you visit that part of the site, but apparently Epiphone is going to release a modified TOM that is supposed to be an improvement over the current model. So has anyone heard when they're going to release this? (And on that point: How come there's no audio samples?)
iansmitchell
Yeah, saw that beck before anybody heard of epiActive pups. Seems like an OK idea, but I string in pairs anyway so I do't see how it'd help me unless it REALLY does transfer vibrations better... EDIT: I think it'll be a fine piece for an epiphone les paul ultra III or G-400 ultra, along with an ebony board, and the aforementioned epiactive pups, and the other "ultra" adornments. pohatu771
That's not really new... I've read it a few times over the past... year or so. Right around the time I bought my Casino, I imagine. I thought I had heard about people receiving them on their guitars.

I didn't buy it until around April of '08).
RotcanX
If you're talking about the 'locking' bridge and tailpieces, they've been standard for a while; the CS Les Paul Special LE I bought just before last Christmas has them.

Maybe it's because it's a southpaw, but no, I didn't have them on my guitar. (and on the TOM's, it doesn't really matter much....just reverse the saddles.) I guess I'm going to have to pony up and get 'em aftermarket. Oh well...
Suicidehummer
While we're on the subject, is the Epi TOM more like the Nashville or ABR-1?
