iansmitchell
Buy a les paul stdio goth AND the pickups, you'll be far happier than with the standard or putting pups in the special.

TWANG
you might do better to ebay it. .. stores notoriously offer little on trade ins.. hoping to make the profit you should have. epi goth models and studio are both really much better than the special II and would make waiting for that perfect paul near painless.. iansmitchell
And get a new amplifier. Forget pickups for a while. An epiphone valve junior combo is my suggestion. Tube amp with eminence speaker for 150 bucks.
