RotcanX
I can understand how it can be hard to get the complex things right but I just don't see why they can't get the simple stuff right. ...and you should see the difference in the access plates. charlie brown
Wow...I know you've talked about it, Spud...but that's quite a difference. I wonder why? Surely they have a template, for placement? You know though...one of the SG's I've seen recently (Gibson, that is) has the knobs that are further in from the edge, too! I think it's on a "Faded" junior? So...??? CB
FloyDZeD
Wow, never really noticed that there was that much of a difference. But, the G-400 isn't really an SG.
snookelputz
Is that last bit of lower bout curve a separate piece of wood on the G-400? Seems to me you might have a stability issue depending on exactly where your joins lie in the body which might cause a slight reposition to get it all onto an interior piece of wood. RotcanX
Maybe, but you'll never tell from that picture since all you can see there is the African mahogany veneer that they put over the Philippine stuff.
RotcanX
...at least the EEs (on the left) get it better than the Unsungs (on the right) and DWs:
iansmitchell
It's not a huge peeve to me. But right is right, and spud knows his stuff.
lpdeluxe
Honey, you've been working too hard. Here, sit down, take this beer... What difference does it make?
jfalkens
Honestly, I would be more upset about the Epiphone models that dont have correct headstock over the few centimeter difference between the knobs and switch and jack input. Put the open book headstock on Epi's that are models of Gibsons first, then worry about knob placement. IMO
