Oh yeah, After running Peavey and Vox SS amps, it was almost unbelievable what the Vj did for my tone. I thought I had some pretty good tone before, but the Vj made it fuller and richer. Not even in the same neighborhood anymore. Variax 700 + POD XT Live + Valve Junior will take you anywhere you wanna go in music. Metal, Classic/Hard Rock, Blues, Rockabilly.
