You've probably seen them before, but since you asked:

2001 Epiphone Casino - 1970 Gibson ES-330

MIK (Korea/Peerless) - MIK (Kalamazoo)

GuitarCousins2.JPG

No, I don't have names for them. I name my cars and other inanimate objects, but have never named my musical instruments. Perhaps it is because they are not separate entities, but instead extensions of me.

Thanks' date=' I always have my eyes and ears open searching for another, ........ whatever comes along.

I really like your sherrie in natural. I noticed that your "f" holes are slimmer than on mine. Is yours an older model?[/quote']

It's a '95 Samick. The widest part of tthe f-holes are .75" x 1.0", so that mini-pots are required for rewiring (it has Seymour Duncans -- Jazz and JB, and all new electronics). I also lost the ugly pickguard (don't need it) and put creme pickup rings and switch knob on it along with gold speed knobs. The natural S2 is pretty, but it needs a little help.

I was lucky -- about 6 months ago I asked my local music store owner (former Epi dealer) if he knew of any natural finish S2s, and he said this one was coming in on trade. It showed up the same day I went over there with a carload of gear I was trading away, so I came home with the Sheraton. Since then several people have wanted to buy it, but I'm still in the honeymoon phase.

Hi Guys, I'm sorry I've been away for the last couple of weeks. I've been busy moving into my new house and had a vacation thrown in there for good measure. Needless to say it’s been a busy three weeks. I am happy to say that all of my gear survived the trip. I still have yet to set up my computer due to the lack of a desk. This post is from work and man have I missed this place! The Epi forums, not work, lol. Here are my (Semi) Hollows....

New Pictures will follow once I have my new theater/Media/Studio Room set up. My Guitars and Amps now have their own Storage room and I am planning on making it completely climate controlled.

Notes' date=' that natural casino is so beautiful. If you ever wanna dump her for something younger and sleeker I'll take her off your hands=p~ [/quote']

Not a chance. It is a beauty. I went into GC looking for a brand new one, but when I saw the wood on this used Casino, I just had to have it. The new ones were nice but the grain on this one is extraordinary.

When I replaced the knobs and switch cover, I discovered the previous owner put US knobs and switch on it, so I got a better deal than I realized at GC ($425 plus they gave me exactly what I had invested in my Kramer-Focus-Faux-Strat and case).

I've had my 330 for 25+ years, so I don't expect to trade the Casino any time soon.

I am lusting for an SG (red, small pickguard, neck binding, covered 'buckers) but I don't think that is going to happen any time soon. Due to the economy, both the band and the Band-in-a-Box businesses are a little slow right now.

I'm seriously considering getting a Casino after seeing all these beautiful specimens!

Not Epiphones' date=' but here's what I have...<...>[/quote']

That is one beautiful Ric you have there. Now you're giving me GAS.

Hey Svet, how do you like the Strat with the lipstick pups in it? What kind of music do you play with it?

I was thinking about getting a cheap SX Strat copy from Rondo and putting lipstick pups in it, for playing slide and stuff. The last Strat-like guitar I bought from there however, had a very un-Strat like neck which put me off of going that route.

It's still on my GAS list, though!

Hi Charles, that is a 56 Custom Shop Reliced Strat and I love it to death. It is a versatile little darling; it is a Strat after all. I do find myself trying to emulate Jeff Beck when playing that one though. It must be the Surf Green color. It is very adept at blues, R&R and Country picking of course! More pics below!:D
