dean2287
Hi all. I just bought a 2005 Epi Dot 335 in cherry . Despite being in fabulous condition and playing like a dream, it came without the pickguard . It's a Chinese made one, serial number starting with EE. Does anyone have some hints as to where I might be able to get a pickguard and hardware without spending a furtune ? Much appreciated, rock on. Whitmore Willy
Dean, Welcome to the forum.....congrats on the new guitar. 1. As mentioned you might find one on the web. (even if you find one it may require some filing and/or sanding to get a good fit around the pickups) 2. See if a certified Epiphone dealer can order one. 3. Check Ebay 4. Buy the plastic and hardware from stewmac and make your own. 5. Maybe one of the guys here in the forum can make one for you at a reasonable price. Twang? I know this is not a lot of help. If I had a Dot I would trace a templet on construction paper and send it to you. I have made and reshaped a few for L.P.s and it's not that hard. I hope others have more ideas or help.
