Epi Casino Elitist

Recommended Posts

I'm new on this forum and wanted to take the opportunity to say hello to everyone here. I finally ordered my dream guitar from Sweetwater, an Epi Casino Elitist in Natural color. Been gassing after this piece for a while now and decided it was time to pull the trigger on it. I'll post some pics when I finally get it in my hot little hands. Been playing acoustic guitar for a good many years now and just had to have an electric.

Welcome to the forums! I have to admit...yesterday I saw one of those Natural Elitist Casinos in the flesh. That's a really nice guitar...

Very good choice for an electric - I often play it without any amplification too, nice sound, nice vibe on the solar plexus.

Now that is a hell of a way to introduce yourself - say hello and tell us you just bought a Epi Casino Elitist. I was looking at the Sweetwater site this morning, do you have to wait on the delivery? They note it as being out of stock (like so much of their product). Great guitar and a good place to make a purchase.

So, welcome to the forum and looking forward to seeing the pics.

Yeah Sweetwater is out of stock on them right now. They have a scheduled delivery date of the week of 9/07 but you know how that goes. I've just heard too many rumours of price increases and possibly Gibson doing away with the Elitist line due to its competition with some of their guitars. So....I decided to go ahead and get it.

Greg, If I had the cash, I would do the same. Certainly wouldn't want to be left out, but that may be the case. Maybe trading my Strat down the road will be an option.

Cookieman, three??? Come on, you have two lovely ones already, save some for the rest of us.

Hi Greg congratulations and welcome to the forums! The Elitist Casino is a fantastic guitar and every time I pick mine up I am awestruck by its playability and tone. She is a keeper and you will not regret it! Mine is finished in the VS. Good Luck!

GOOD IDEA. You will love it. And it actually makes guitar noise when it isn't plugged in.

Welcome Greg, and HNGD!! Gibson/Epiphone has done away with the Elitist line, entirely...save the Elitist Casino. That is still be offered...but, who knows for how much longer?
