epi elitist dot or Heritage H535 ?

Fine tone woods, often better than Gibson, handmade by real craftsmen in Kalamazoo, and the price is right.

OR;

Made "over there" from decent woods, with some American electronics.

Sorry.

The Elite stuff is nice, but if you're gonna be spending some serious money....

Downside - Heritage has so-so resale value. So buy a USED ONE!!!

Honestly, you can't go wrong with Heritage.

What do the H535 sell for? I have one store quoting me $1995. I didn't realize you could buy direct.

Jeff Hale has them for $1895, and he does a good setup on them. He told me that even with the Plek system setup the action is too high (although the frets are perfectly aligned), and his setup guy has to lower the grooves in the nut.

I'm thinking about H355 with the ebony fingerboard and bound f-holes.
